NEW for 2024, we are offering two Photography Hikes! Join Photographer Patrick Aalto and MSHI on a guided Sunset Photography Hikes at Spirit Lake or the amongst great Hummocks near the Pumice Plain. In each adventure, you will explore the amazing views and the close-up wonders of Mount St. Helens. Patrick will offer expert photography instruction and help build your skills to create more compelling and powerful images. We will explore not only the sweeping landscapes of mountains and meadows, but also the incredible worlds of plants and animals in between. All levels of photographers are welcome, whether you use a smartphone, digital camera or film! A naturalist guide will offer you insight into the incredible natural and human history of Mount St. Helens. Both adventures begin begin in the afternoon to take advantage of evening light and then hike out in the dark.
