Brittany Fagin

Brittany is passionate about teaching others about geology! Each year, she spends about six months teaching about Mount St. Helens at the Johnston Ridge Observatory as a Forest Service Interpretive Park Ranger. She thinks it’s a really fun way to spend the summer, talking about volcanoes and how we can live next to them. The other six months of the year, Brittany likes to teach geology-related subjects at the college and community levels. She originally grew up in Morton and loves to teach her community about geology. Brittany graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, with a Geology B.S. in 2012 and a Geology M.S. in 2015. She looks forward to every opportunity to share the exciting world of geology with anybody who’s curious about their planet. In her spare time, Brittany likes to paint, cook delicious food, and hike in beautiful places.
