Nora is a Programs Coordinator at Science & Math Investigative Learning Experiences (SMILE) Program at Oregon State University. She grew up in the Seattle area and fell in love with geology after studying plate tectonics and traveling to Mount St. Helens on an 8th grade field trip! Her diverse research experiences at Occidental College and Oregon State University highlighted her passion for teaching and working with youth, especially when talking about earth processes! At SMILE she strives to help rural Oregonian students who are underrepresented in higher education gain STEM skills and get to college.
