Karissa joined the board in 2021 and currently serves as Board Chair. She discovered the Institute through her work with her tribe, the Cowlitz. Karissa brings a wealth of experience in philanthropy and equity, diversity, and inclusion work to the organization. She has extensive knowledge of the history of Mount St. Helens, going back to time immemorial.
