About
Born and raised in Washington State, Michelle attended WSU where she graduated with a degree in physical science and math education before beginning her career teaching 7th grade at View Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield. After one year of teaching, she returned to college to pursue her CPA, launching a successful 20-year career in public accounting that eventually led her to controller positions with several healthcare organizations. Her final professional role was serving as Director of Finance at The Historic Trust before retiring. Throughout her career and into retirement, she has maintained a strong commitment to community service, including active membership in Rotary's Vancouver Sunrise Club and significant board contributions as Treasurer for the Mount St. Helens Institute for 11 years and Columbia River Mental Health for 18 years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and cycling.
