Fall Season Positions Open!
MSHI is hiring for ONE of two positions this fall. Our program chef is moving on to another opportunity and we are looking to hire either:
- A Program and Events Chef to fill the chef position OR
- A Facilities Coordinator to provide additional food service, maintenance, and janitorial support while existing staff fill the Chef role.
MSHI would prefer to hire an experienced chef for the five week position. These roles are in-person at the Science and Learning Center.
Please apply for the role that best fits your experience. This is an urgent hire; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the role is filled. Applicants must be available for the following dates and have capacity for meal planning and shopping in advance of each program:
- September 23-24 (38 people for 3 meals)
- September 24-25 (47 people for 3 meals)
- September 30-October 2 (38 people for 6 meals)
- October 5-6 (25 people for 3 meals)
- October 6-8 (42 people for 6 meals)
- October 14-16 (35 people, 6 meals)
- October 22 (~30 people for lunch only)

Seasonal Program & Events Chef: Fall
The person filling this position will be responsible for planning, shopping for, preparing, and serving healthy and delicious meals to groups of 20-50 people; maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and the Science and Learning Center; and performing light maintenance as needed.

Seasonal Facilities Coordinator: Fall
This role supports our youth education and rental programs based at the Science and Learning Center through food prep and service; light maintenance; janitorial services; and general program support.
