About
Before discovering a passion for outdoor education through her master's program at the University of Idaho, Katie was born and raised in eastern Washington and attended Washington State University for a bachelor's in wildlife ecology. Katie is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm for plants, animals, geology and campfire skits to the Mt. St. Helens Institute. Alongside her love for sharing the joy of nature with young people, she also enjoys writing, painting outdoors, and playing violin.
