About
Originally from the UK with several years spent in Germany, Amy has found her forever home among the peaks and lakes of the Pacific Northwest. A hydrogeologist by training, she spent many years in environmental consultancy before transitioning into scientific publishing—where she realized that a picture truly is worth a thousand words!
Amy is committed to making science accessible to everyone and believes in the power of storytelling to transform not only our understanding but also our fundamental relationship with the natural world.
When she’s not connecting people with the outdoors or moonlighting at her local library, Amy can be found deep in a board game. Despite her love for all things volcanic, she has spent more time talking about climbing Mount St. Helens than actually doing it—a record she is determined to correct!
