Through Douglas Fir and Hemlock forests, travel alongside a naturalist guide on a 5-mile round-trip hike to June Lake. The trail winds through mixed conifer forest to our lunch spot on the icy shore. Stunning in all seasons, June Lake boasts a 74-foot-tall waterfall that cascades over a 27 thousand-year-old volcanic deposit.

A fresh blanket of snow, snowshoes, and photographing winter landscapes: what could be better? Join us to explore and create stunning photographs of winter scenes. The 5-mile round-trip snowshoe hike winds through mixed conifer forest to our lunch spot on the Lake's icy shore. Along the way, we will practice techniques to beautifully photograph the snow-covered forest, ice-rimmed lake, and 74-foot-tall waterfall. We will travel alongside professional photographer, Patrick Aalto, and a naturalist guide who will help make sense of the natural wonders all around us.
