Dylan was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. Many family road trips out west built a love for the natural landscapes that he now lives and works in. Over the last decade Dylan has called home Redwoods National and State Parks, Death Valley, North Cascades, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone National Parks. He is excited to return to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, where he spent the summer of 2010, and share this wonderful landscape with visitors from near and far. When not teaching about volcanic landscapes and native plants Dylan enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, road biking, photography, reading, and watching movies.
