Lynsey joined the Institute in 2022 having already reached the top of our mountain "too many times to count." You'll find her pushing uphill almost any spare hour, feeding an endless appetite for altitude via the trail, the scramble or the rope. A child of the Pacific Northwest, Lynsey is focused on tagging the big Western mountaineering challenges, recently summiting Mt. Hood, Mt. Whitney, Glacier Peak, and Three Fingered Jack.
Her repertoire of outdoor skills includes mountain rescue, first aid and Nordic and Alpine skiing. Her love for the alpine environment extends to a deep knowledge of geology, wildflowers and fungi.
When not climbing, she has also served as an Oregon State Parks interpretive guide for coastal whale migration viewpoints. Whether on the coast or range, Lynsey shares her passion for participant safety, inclusivity and education.
