A geologist by trade, Gina Roberti grew up digging quahogs and exploring the shorelines of the Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island (the state with the largest coastline per capita!) amidst ancient metamorphic rocks of the Appalachian Mountains. Since graduating from Brown University in 2014 with a degree in Geology, she contributed to various public education projects through the National Park Service about the geology of the Western United States. In 2019, Gina completed her Masters of Education at Western Washington University in a joint program hosted by the North Cascades Institute with a focus on geology education. She strongly believes in the power of education to inspire awareness, appreciation and stewardship for the natural world and is excited about the mission of the Mount St. Helens Institute. When Gina is not working she can be found on long walks or cross country skis, in the company of birds. Contact Gina at email@example.com.
