Originally from northern Virginia, Ari then moved out west where she attended the University of Colorado Boulder. She graduated in 2022 with B.A.s in Environmental Studies and Spanish. After completing her studies, she worked with an environmental NGO in the Amazon region of Peru. There, she collaborated with indigenous groups on various initiatives, including beekeeping, camera trapping, and environmental education programs for young people. Ari has also held a diverse range of instructor positions within the outdoor industry, catering to individuals of various ages and interests. Ari's extensive background in natural science, language, and multiculturalism make her well-suited for her position as an Educator at the Mount St. Helens Institute.
During her free time, Ari is an avid runner, backpacker, and kayaker. Alternatively, she can be found reading books in her hammock, watching the sunrise, or identifying wildflowers.
