Amanda Conroy, Development and Marketing Director

Amanda Conroy, Development and Marketing Director

For close to 15 years, Amanda has led development and marketing efforts for nonprofit organizations in California and Oregon. She’s a mission-driven leader, passionately dedicated to nonprofit fund development, leadership, and fostering a culture of philanthropy at the organizations she serves.

Amanda holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Women’s Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s in Public Administration, specializing in Public Sector Management and Leadership, from California State University Northridge. During her time at UCSB, Amanda dove into community engagement through volunteer work and internships with local nonprofits. She served the Santa Barbara community as a dynamic fundraiser for more than a decade before moving to Oregon in 2020, where she was the Senior Development Director for Meals on Wheels People.

Now, Amanda is eagerly joining Mount St. Helens Institute as the new Development and Marketing Director. “What truly excites me about the Mount St. Helens Institute is its dedication to preserving the natural wonders of the region while fostering educational programs that inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. What’s better than that?!”

As an accomplished fundraising professional with a strong passion for environmental conservation and education, Amanda is looking forward to playing a more active role in preserving a cherished natural wonder for generations to come.

When Amanda’s not working, she enjoys spending time traveling with her husband and their two fur babies and eating all the ice cream in the PNW.
