-I graduated from Cal Poly with an ornamental horticulture degree-I am fascinated with plants and their survival even though I don't particularly garden .
-Taught at Evergreen Middle School for the last 22 years (mostly science and some math)
-National Board Certified in Science
-Initiated an Energy Matters Campaign students audited school energy use and developed a school wide energy campaign for saving energy
-Climbed Mount St. Helens in both Summer and Winter conditions.
-Favorite activities: anywhere in the mountains, cross country skiing, mountaineering, climbing, swing dancing
