Outdoor Recreation: Gain experience in the fields of recreation and ranger led activities. Interns will act as leaders and support staff for recreational programs, including weekly guided climbs to the rim of Mount St. Helens and other recreation sites. Conservation Corps: Gain experience in the fields of trail maintenance and resource protection. Provide support and leadership to the area’s recreational sites by performing trail and facilities maintenance and repair tasks through one-day, weekend, and week-long volunteer work party projects. Southside Environmental Education: Gain experience working with youth and adults by developing and leading stream habitat restoration projects. Develop and present public campfire programs. Northside Environmental Educator: Gain experience working in a fast paced visitor center setting.
