  • MSHI seeks to foster youth’s connection to nature as well as to build environmental concern across race, ethnic, and socio-economic boundaries.

The Mount St. Helens Institute is targeting marginalized communities with outdoor science and education programming. Targeted communities include:

  1. Minorities
  2. Low-income households
  3. Disabled populations
  4. Tribal communities
