Conservation Corps Program
Come and be part of this awesome environmental stewardship program!
Join the Conservation Corps!
Are you looking for a great opportunity for adventure in remote areas of the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument? Do you enjoy volunteering to help maintain trails and recreational sites in the great outdoors? Then sign up to work with the Mount St. Helens Institute Conservation Corps!
The MSHI Conservation Corps members are made up of interns, volunteers, families, MSH user groups, scout groups and service learning groups. These folks serve for one day, weekend, and week-long trail maintenance and other stewardship projects in the National Volcanic Monument. Our Conservation Corps crew are enthusiastic people who enjoy hiking, backpacking, and other physical outdoor activities. Under the supervision of a Crew Leader, participants will learn trail maintenance skills and how to safely and properly use maintenance equipment, as well as have the opportunity to spend some time enjoying breathtaking views of an active volcano or other natural features of the area, discovering the recovering landscape, and making new friends.
