The Mount St. Helens Institute understands that unexpected events can cause you to cancel your plans. We have therefore put much thought into our cancellation policy to make it as fair as possible:
Registrants will receive a full refund minus a 6.6% processing fee when we are notified of cancellation 30 or more days prior to the start of the Field Seminar, Guided Climb, and/or Winter Adventure.
Refunds are not issued for cancellations received fewer than 30 days before the start of a Field Seminar, Guided Climb, and/or Winter Adventure.
The MSHI reserves the right to cancel any Field Seminar, Guided Climb, and/or Winter Adventure. When a program is cancelled by the MSHI, registrants will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
Insurance and Liability Policy
All participants must provide their own accident and health insurance. Each participant will be required to complete a copy of our liability waiver and medical history form before participating in any field seminar or guided adventure.
Conditioning and Responsibility
Each participant is responsible for determining if their physical condition is adequate for the course selected. Each class has guidelines for physical condition. Participants assume full responsibility for their individual safety and must provide their own health and accident insurance. You must complete and return a liability waiver before participating.
Transportation and Permits
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the field seminar or guided adventure site. All necessary parking permits, day passes and climbing permits will be provided by the Mount St. Helens Institute.
Our programs will proceed rain or shine. Appropriate gear, clothing and footwear are very important for ensuring comfort.
