TRISTAN RIVERS, Assistant Guide

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Tristan spent his childhood learning to backpack and mountaineer in the North and Central Cascades. After attending college in Indiana, Tristan moved to Portland in 2014. Having spent the last two seasons as a Mountain Steward with the Mount St. Helens Institute, Tristan is excited to be able to further share his love for climbing and for the unique landscape that is Mt. St. Helens. As a Wilderness First Responder, Tristan has a passion for safety in the mountains, and he approaches every outdoor endeavor with this in mind. When not working on the mountain, Tristan can usually be found at one of the many climbing crags in Washington and Oregon, planning his next climbing endeavor in the Picket Range, or hanging with his German Shepherd, Juno.
