JENNIFER COX, Lead Guide

Originally, a Michigan native, Jennifer came to the Pacific Northwest by way of Chicago, IL. She is a
librarian in higher-ed by weekday, and mountain professional by weekend. She enjoys reading, yoga,
dabbling in languages, trips to the Oregon coast, and international travel. When not working Jennifer
volunteers her time to the recreational climbing educator, outdoor exposure for at-risk youth and
supporting local public/academic libraries.

As an outdoor educator, Jennifer holds professional level certifications as a Leave No Trace Trainer,
AIARE Avalanche Level I, and Wilderness First Responder. This is Jennifer’s first season as a lead guide
with the Mountain Saint Helen’s Institute. Jennifer’s excited to share her knowledge and passion for the
outdoors with new/ first time climbers.
