Growing up on the banks of the Snake River, Amy spent her childhood rafting, camping and identifying the flora and fauna of Eastern Washington. She has enjoyed working for non-profits for the last five years and was most recently employed as the Education and Outreach Supervisor at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Early on, Amy’s interest in minerals led to certifications with GIA and AGS as a Graduate Gemologist and a 13-year career in the gems and jewelry industry that took her to 16 countries and over 390 cities worldwide. Jumping at the opportunity to cease travel, Amy worked for the Humane Society of the United States as the Director of Volunteer Services for the South Florida Wildlife Center, one of the largest wildlife hospitals in the United States, and brings her passion for wildlife with her to the Pacific Northwest. An avid birder, Amy also enjoys kayaking, scuba diving, knitting and lazy Sunday mornings spent reading the newspaper. Contact Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org (360) 449-7826.
